Let me tell you about my hobbies or interests. I like music, inline skating, and collecting stamps.

First of all, I'll speak to you about music. I always listen to music while using a computer. I like various genre, R&B, rock, ballad, New Age music, and so on.

Moreover, I like to sing. I sometimes record my songs and listen to them. I have a friend who likes to sing. He and I evaluate mutual songs each other. I think that music keeps me sometimes calmly, sadly, and happily. I love music so much.

Second hobby is inline skating. inline skating is very interesting. But it's sometimes dangerous. So I always put on protective equipment and do light exercise before main exercise. I usually do it in Top Dong. it's near my house. It takes about 20 minutes on foot from my house.

Finally, I have collected stamps since 1995. But I lost two stock book in 1996. There were many stamps in the book. Although I was angry and frustrated, I have constantly collected since that time. So I have many stamps. But I haven't arranged stamps on the pages of books these days. I'll have to arrange them today.

One of the most valuable my stamps is the DokDo stamp. I didn't get it on delivery day. And postman said that he lost it. So I doubted him. But He delivered it a few days after. I don't know the reason. Anyway I received it. So I was happy.

I had taught algorithm to a middle school student for 3 days, as out-of-school studies. He is preparing for entering science high school. And I think he study science(including computer) very hard. I was pleased because I have thought that I help students who like science. If he pass contest in school, he'll participate city contest. I don't know the result yet. If the result is good, I'll be happy.

I took TOEIC today. I haven't studied and took it for a long time. So I don't expect good score. But If it is higher than previous score, I'll be happy. the part 1 and the part 5 were easy than what I had thought. but part 2 was very confused. And I still feel time is not enough. So I put the 15 anwsers thoughtlessly. I'll must promote the level of reading speed and listening ability.

I met three friends yesterday. They are Kyung-Ran, Hae-kyung, and Seok. I treated to them because I was paid for my project.

First of all, we went to the SaDaeChunHwang for eating pan-broiled SunDae. And there were many problems while eating it. Although we ordered Cheese pan-broild SunDae, it's simple pan-broild SunDae to come us. And the gas burner didn't come into action several times. But, In the end, we ate it. It was delicious.

After that, we went to the madrid for drinking. I drank Gin Tonic and Tequila Sunrise. They are not strong. Especially, I think Tequila Sunrise is good for women because it like that beautiful sunrise and is not strong. Gin tonic is gin and tonic water. The proof of gin is 40%. But Gin tonic is not strong because of mixing with tonic water and ice. Anyway, the two cocktails were good.

Finally, We went to a bar called 7 club. We drank beer which are corona, budweiser. And we talked about company, relationship, department, etc. We felt so good. And we promise to meet frequently. Next meeting place is SinJeju. kkk;

There was the wedding of my seniors. I went to the wedding place with Seok. There were many people(including alumni of my department). And professor Park Kyung-Rin was an officiate at the wedding. I was impressed by him because he was wigged. I had heard about his wig before I saw the figure.

And, because there is no any wedding feast in there, I went out eating a pork cutlet with my friends after that.

Anyway, I think the bridegroom and bride will be happy. I congratulate them on their combination. Congratulations!!

I was reelected as the president in my class in SDA. I was the president in Level 1 Class. At that time, Anet recommended me. And she recommended me this time too. Anet said

"I recommend Smith. He was president our last class."

And I said "I recommend Anet.". However, president have responsibility for taking heavy objects like beverage, cookies, etc when we have tea time. And the students in our class are women except me. So I couldn't refuse.

But I can't speak and listen English well. So I'm afraid.

Anyway, do my best~!!!

I take Level 2 lesson in the SDA these days. My teacher was Korean when I was in Level 1. But I'm Level 2 student now. My teacher is American whose name is Todd. His pronunciation is better than Level 1 teacher because he is a native speaker.

He tells us a story every day. But I can't hear them well. I understand partly. However, I seem that the other students understand well. I know my listening ability is bad. My writing ability is better than it. So I can write this. But I can't speak English well.T-T. I feel I need to study harder than now. Although English is very difficult, it is mere language.

I will conquer a mountain called English!!

I took an examination for getting Engineering Information Processing Qualification. Although I couldn't study for a long time, the result of examination is not bad. I think I will pass without any difficulty.

When I went out after I finished examination, I met my two friends whom I met in high school. Although they didn't major in computer science(or related it), they said "I took the Engineering Information Processing Examination.". hmm... I feel again that this qualification is very popular. Even If I have it, I can't have merit. But If I don't have it, which is damage. Therefore, I have to have the certification.

Anyway, I think I will pass into note-taking. Now, I'll have to prepare myself for practical skill. And I'll also study English for TOEIC and taking a lesson.

Why do I study? I don't know the reason these days. I had heard that if I study hard, I can become a successful person. Can I ever be so?

I seem that some people hate what I study related my major. They had pretended to like my aspect that I study them. And.. actually, I have known they don't like it. But I have studied them because I just liked it.

Recently, many people not only indirectly but also directly request me to stop studying them. Even some my supporters persuade me out of it. How ever do I have to?

They say that

"The prospect of IT is bad."
"It is not hopeful to graduate from local university"
"Stop studying your major. Your major is not hopeful."
"IT is the end."

It is not that I don't know the reality. But most of them don't give any excellent plan. And a few men tell me the plan. Even so I think it's not excelent plan. Thank you for advising me. But I don't have manifold ability even so I just do one of the most self-confident works. Accordingly, don't stress, please. I don't want to be stressed by that matter.

Let me introduce my family to you.

Look at this picture. This is my family photo which was taken in 2004. My parents, two sisters, and me. There are 5 in my family.

My Korean name is Lee Seung-chul and English name is Smith. I'm 24 years old. And I'm a university student and junior. But I stay out of school temporarily. Because I was in the military 3 months ago. I'll return to university the second semester.

My parents have run a furniture shop together for 17 years. The shop is near Yong-moon rotary. I respect my parents. They are very honorable.

My eldest sister teaches English to children. She has gone abroad since she was a university student. She also studied english in the Philippines. She sometimes helps me study English.

My second elder sister works in the Hyundai Card. She has a boy friend. And I seem that she will marry him. He came my home this New Year's Day for greeting us.

Although I'm not handsome, my sisters are beautiful.

I love very much my family. We are a peaceful family. Thank you!

Many people say programmers are not flexible. But I think it's very little right. Actually, I seem that most such programmers are called [Coder]. Coders are not flexible and have to be so. If they are too flexible, the program sources will be programmed dizzily. And it is too difficult to understand the code for the others. Because there is no unity. Therefore, coders need to be very simple and honest.

But I think even tought true programmers have to be honest partly, they don't always need to work earnestly. Simple and honesty disturb originality for the development of new system. They have to tune to the opinions of they and the others. If they are not flexible, coworkers will feel difficulty. And then the jobs don't be proceeded. The project is delayed. The term is expired. Finally, It will be failed. It means inflexible programmers don't have real ability.

Therefore, true programmers have to be not only not flexible but also flexible. I think some people who say "Programmers are not flexible." are not flexible rather than the programmers. Because they have the fixed idea(Thinking that programmers are not flexible). If you have such fixed idea, throw it, please. And it have to be changed to think that programmers are not flexible. The programmers are just coder. True programmers have not only simple and honesty but also flexibility.
